We spent Andrew's first Christmas morning at our house opening presents. He really got into tearing the paper, and of course, he also tried to eat a lot of it. We had a difficult time getting him interested in any other presents once he already had the first one opened. His favorite toys were a dinosaur ball pit, and his red wagon. We also celebrated Christmas at both sets of grandparents' houses, and even Andrew's great-grandmother's house. By the time we got to the last Christmas celebration, he was an old pro at the present thing--and he was also quite worn out!

Our Family Vacation in Hawaii
Josh planned a work trip to Oahu in December, and Andrew and I got to tag along! It was a great family vacation for us. Andrew did surprisingly well on the very long plane ride to and from Hawaii. While we were there, we hiked Diamond Head, spent some time at the beach, and did a little bit of shopping. Andrew wasn't too crazy about the ocean (we think the noise of the waves scared him a little), but he did love swimming in the pool! He also tried pineapple for the first time, and loved it!

Andrew's 1st Halloween
We were in Terre Haute for Andrew's first Halloween. Since he loves Jake and Lexi (our pups) so much, we decided to dress him as a puppy. We went trick-or-treating at both of Andrew's great grandmothers' houses, at his Aunt Amanda's, and at the bookstore that Josh's family runs. He was definitely worn out by the end of the night!

The Pumpkin Patch
We went to the pumpkin patch with Andrew's cousin, Lily Catherine. We tried all afternoon to get some good pictures of the two of them together. Despite the almost 900 photos we took between us and Randy and Cate, Andrew and Lily Catherine took turns being fussy and we didn't get too many shots of them together. They did have fun though, and as they get older we're hoping they'll enjoy this tradition a little more...
